Reduce Lag While Keeping Visual Quality

Lower Shadow and Lighting Detail

Access shader settings and look for shadow distance or shadow quality options. Reduce these values to decrease the area the shader calculates lighting for. This is one of the most effective ways to improve frame rate without losing the shader's soft, realistic appearance.

Disable Advanced Effects Selectively

Look for toggles for ambient occlusion, bloom, or volumetric effects. Disable any you don't need—the shader is designed to run well on low-end PCs, so these features are often optional. Start by turning off the most demanding effects first.

Adjust Render Distance Carefully

Reduce your render distance in video settings if the shader still causes stuttering. The shader pack is optimized for smooth performance, but extremely high render distances stress even lightweight shaders.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 debug screen to watch FPS while making changes. Test in different environments—caves, forests, and open sky—since lighting complexity varies. Once you find settings that maintain smooth gameplay, save your configuration.
