Maintain Vanilla Block Colors While Using Shaders
Verify Color Preservation Setting
EV Enhanced Visuals is built to keep Minecraft's original block palette intact. Check the shader settings to confirm color preservation is enabled—this should be the default.
Disable Color Grading (If Present)
If your shader menu includes color grading, saturation, or tone mapping options:
- Ensure saturation is at neutral (100% or 0 offset depending on the slider)
- Disable any color temperature or tint filters
- Turn off bloom if it's washing out block colors
Check Lighting Without Altering Hue
The shader should only affect *brightness and shadow softness*, not the actual colors of blocks. If grass looks too yellow, stone too blue, or wood too orange, a color setting is interfering.
Reset to Defaults
If colors seem wrong, reset the shader to default settings. EV Enhanced Visuals prioritizes vanilla aesthetics, so defaults should preserve the original look perfectly. Test in different biomes to confirm colors match your unshaded world.
