Maintain Vanilla Block Clarity While Using Shaders
Understand the Shader's Design Philosophy
Ethereal Vibe Baseline is built to preserve the classic vanilla block appearance. Unlike shaders that add heavy texturing or distortion, this pack adds soft lighting and shading without obscuring block shapes or colors.
Disable Excessive Post-Processing
In shader settings, ensure that:
- Bloom/glow effects are set to moderate levels (not maxed)
- Color grading is subtle—blocks should retain their original hues
- Depth of field is off or minimal (keeps everything in focus)
Use Appropriate Render Distance
Set your render distance to at least 12 chunks. Lower distances can make blocks appear flat or unclear at the edge of your view. A moderate distance lets the shader's lighting work properly across the landscape.
Test in Different Lighting
Walk through caves, forests, and open areas. Blocks should always be clearly identifiable by shape and color, even with soft shadows and gentle illumination applied. If blocks look muddy or hard to distinguish, reduce shadow intensity in the shader menu.
