Adjust Lighting Intensity for Your Playstyle

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually Right Shift or O depending on your Iris configuration). Look for the Ethereal Vibe Baseline profile in your active shaders list.

Modify Illumination Levels

Within the shader settings, locate lighting adjustment sliders. You can control:

• Overall brightness — increase if caves feel too dark, decrease if daytime feels washed out
• Shadow intensity — soften harsh shadows or deepen them for more contrast
• Ambient light — adjust how much light fills unlit areas

Test Across Biomes

After each adjustment, travel to different biomes (forest, desert, underground) to see how changes affect readability and atmosphere. The shader is designed to balance lighting across all biome types, so test in at least two contrasting environments before finalizing.

Save Your Preset

Once satisfied, save your custom settings as a named profile within Iris. This lets you quickly switch between your preferred look and the default Ethereal Vibe Baseline settings.
