Enable Advanced Water Settings

Open your shader options and locate water-related controls. Look for reflection quality, refraction detail, or water surface complexity settings. Increase these values to make the procedural water surfaces more responsive to light.

Maximize Lighting Quality

Find options for dynamic lighting or light reflection intensity. Ethereal Filmic Glow's warm filmic lighting is enhanced when these are set higher. This makes sunlight and moonlight bounce more realistically off water surfaces.

Adjust Time of Day for Best Results

Water reflections are most dramatic during sunrise, sunset, and moonlit nights. Visit bodies of water at these times to see the full effect of your enhanced settings. The procedural water will show more pronounced light patterns and color gradients.

Fine-Tune Brightness Alongside Water Settings

If water reflections look too bright or too dim, return to the brightness controls. Sometimes a small adjustment there, combined with water-specific settings, creates the ideal balance. Test in different biomes, as water appearance varies with surrounding terrain.
