Collecting Loot and Treasure Chests

Locating Treasure Chests

Treasure chests are placed throughout dungeon rooms and chambers. They're often positioned in prominent locations—guarded by hostile mobs or placed in central chamber areas. Clear nearby enemies before opening chests to avoid being attacked while looting.

Efficient Looting

Bring empty inventory space before entering dungeons. Treasure chests contain valuable vanilla loot and resources useful for survival progression. Open chests carefully and collect items systematically. If your inventory fills, drop less valuable items or make multiple trips.

Chest Contents and Value

Dungeon chests contain special vanilla loot tailored to survival gameplay—resources, enchanted items, and materials you'd normally need to craft or find elsewhere. The specific contents vary by dungeon type and rarity level, rewarding exploration of different biome variants.

Safety Considerations

Always clear hostile mobs from the immediate area before looting. Mobs can spawn in dark corners, so keep torches nearby. If a chest is in a dangerous location, create a safe platform or clear a wider area first. Never loot while low on health.
