Choosing a Weapon: Swords, Polearms, and Blunt Weapons

The mod's weapon catalog splits into clear families. Match the family to the fight you expect.

Sword Family

  • Short Sword — fastest, lowest damage.
  • Bastard Sword — hand-and-a-half, balanced.
  • Claymore and Zweihander — two-handed, heavy hits.
  • Estoc — thrust-focused.
  • Katzbalger — short, wide blade.
  • Flame-Bladed Sword — a distinct blade profile.

Each exists in Bronze, Copper, and Diamond tiers. Craft the tier that matches your ingots.

Polearms and Reach

For reach, build Pike, Lance, Halberd (including Concave Edged Halberd), Guisarme, Ranseur, Lochaber Axe, Lucerne Hammer, or Ahlspiess. These trade swing speed for range and stopping power.

Blunt and Chain Weapons

Club, Barbed Club, Heavy Mace, Heavy War Hammer, Morningstar, and Flail round out the blunt options. Blacksmith Hammer is a utility tool rather than a combat weapon.

Crafting Logic

All metal weapons use their tier's ingots. Pick one primary weapon and one backup — for example a Bronze Bastard Sword for general use and a Bronze Pike for reach. Upgrade the same shape to Copper or Diamond as materials allow rather than switching families mid-progression.
