Building a Knight Armor Set: Chainmail to Crusader

Armor in this mod progresses from basic chainmail up through dedicated knight sets. Plan the full set before you start crafting pieces.

Early Layer: Chainmail

Chainmail Helm, Chainmail Armor, and Chainmail Leggings form your first protective layer. They are cheap enough to craft early and cover you while you gather materials for heavier gear. Chainmail Horse Armor extends the same protection to your mount.

Knight Sets

Once you have the resources, move into the dedicated sets:

  • Ceremonial Knight Armor, Ceremonial Knight Boots — a matched ceremonial set.
  • Crusader Armor, Crusader Leggings, Crusader Boots — a full crusader kit.
  • Cuirass, Cuirassier Boots, Cuirassier Pantyhose — cuirassier-style pieces.
  • Brigandine — a torso piece that fits between chainmail and plate.

Craft each piece with its own recipe. Do not assume one set's recipe transfers to another.

Helmets and Details

Helmet options include Armet, Barbute, Bascinet, Burgonet, and Ceremonial Armet. Pick the one that matches your set's style. Add Boots to complete a basic outfit. For decoration, Crown Decoration, Antlers Decoration, Bullhorns Decoration, Demon Horns Decoration, Bear Decoration, and Big Plume Decoration can be attached to your look.
