Choosing the Right Weapon Family for Your Playstyle

Matching Weapon to Role

Epic Fight gives you six weapon families to build from, and each one plays differently. Daggers are the fastest and lightest, ideal if you want to land many quick hits and stay mobile. Longswords are the balanced middle ground. Greatswords are slow but deal the highest damage per swing, so they suit players who can time heavy attacks. Spears trade raw damage for reach, letting you poke enemies from outside their attack range. Tachi are curved blades that sit between Longsword and Greatsword in weight.

Special Weapons

Three weapons sit outside the standard tier ladder. The Bokken is a wooden training sword, useful when you want to spar without killing your target. The Uchigatana is a dedicated katana-style blade. The Glove lets you fight with your fists as a proper weapon family, which is handy if you want a no-weapon build.

Tier Progression

For any family you pick, the upgrade order is Wooden, Stone, Iron, Golden, Diamond, Netherite. Golden weapons sit between Iron and Diamond in the ladder even though gold is soft in vanilla terms, so do not skip them if you are following the progression. Craft one weapon per family early so you can test each moveset, then commit your Diamonds and Netherite to the family you enjoy most.
