Choosing Between Dagger, Longsword, Greatsword, Spear, and Tachi

The Five Weapon Types

Epic Fight registers five weapon categories, each available in Wooden, Stone, Iron, Golden, and Diamond: Dagger, Longsword, Greatsword, Spear, and Tachi. That gives 25 material-and-type combinations plus the Glove. Every one is produced by a crafting_shaped recipe, so the choice is about which weapon you commit materials to, not about unlocking recipes.

Matching Type to Situation

• Dagger — the lightest option in each material. Craft a Wooden Dagger first if you want to learn the fastest attack pattern before investing ingots.
• Longsword — a middle ground between Dagger and Greatsword. Iron Longsword and Diamond Longsword are common targets once you have steady iron or diamond income.
• Greatsword — the heaviest blade in the set. A Diamond Greatsword costs the most materials of the sword line, so build up through Stone Greatsword and Iron Greatsword before committing diamonds.
• Spear — reach-oriented pick. The Diamond Spear follows the same Wooden → Stone → Iron → Golden → Diamond chain as every other type.
• Tachi — its own distinct line. Craft a Wooden Tachi early to see whether its handling suits you before making an Iron Tachi or Diamond Tachi.

Practical Crafting Order

Pick one type, craft it at Wooden, then replace it at each tier you can afford. Because each tier is a fresh shaped recipe, you never lose the ability to craft a lower-tier version later — keep a Stone or Iron backup of your chosen type in a chest while you save for the Diamond version.
