How to Get Slabs, Stairs, and Walls for Any Stone Block

The Universal Pattern

Every parent block in this mod has a Slab, Stairs, and Wall version. Basalt gives Basalt Slab, Basalt Stairs, Basalt Wall. Basalt Bricks gives Basalt Brick Slab, Basalt Brick Stairs, Basalt Brick Wall. Black Alabaster gives Black Alabaster Slab, Black Alabaster Stairs, Black Alabaster Wall. The list continues through every color and every texture.

This means you never need a separate source block for a variant. You only need the parent.

Cutting the Variants

The stonecutter is the primary tool. Place the parent block in the stonecutter and select the Slab, Stairs, or Wall output. One parent block yields the corresponding variant directly, so you can convert a single stack of Basalt Bricks into a mix of Basalt Brick Slab, Basalt Brick Stairs, and Basalt Brick Wall without any intermediate step.

Shaped crafting also produces these variants from the parent block if you prefer the crafting table. The shaped recipes follow the standard slab, stair, and wall layouts.

A practical workflow: pick your parent block, cut a batch of slabs first for floors and ceilings, then stairs for transitions, then walls for edges and railings. Because all variants come from the same parent, your build stays color- and texture-consistent automatically.
