How to Process Materials with the Crusher and Crystallizer

Raw crystal materials need two processing steps before they become usable parts: crushing and crystallizing.

Crushing to Powder

Run your crystal blocks and crystals through the Crusher to obtain powders. The Crusher produces Aethium Powder, Erodium Powder, Ionite Powder and Kyronite Powder from their respective crystal materials, and also handles Charcoal Powder and Carbon Powder. Powders are the input for the next stage, so keep a steady supply.

Crystallizing

The Crystallizer takes powders and grows them into crystals and wafers. Feed Aethium Powder to get Aethium Crystal and Aethium Wafer, Erodium Powder for Erodium Crystal and Erodium Wafer, Ionite Powder for Ionite Crystal and Ionite wafer, and Kyronite Powder for Kyronite Crystal. Distilled Water is used in this process — carry it in a Bucket of Distilled Water and keep the Crystallizer supplied.

Carbon and Lens Production

Carbon Powder feeds into Carbon Crystal production, which is the base material for Crystal Lens. Crystal Lens is a required component for higher-tier machine parts, so plan a Carbon Crystal line alongside your metal crystal lines.

Order of Operations

Crusher first, Crystallizer second, Assembler third. Build the Crusher and Crystallizer before you attempt the Assembler, otherwise you will have no wafers or crystals to feed it.
