How to Craft Aethium, Erodium, Ionite and Kyronite Building Blocks

Each crystal tier has a full building set: base block, Cobble, Bricks, Tiles, plus Slab, Stairs and Wall variants of each. All of these come from stonecutting, so you never need a crafting grid for the shapes.

From Crystal to Block Set

Start with the crystal for your tier: Aethium Crystal, Erodium Crystal, Ionite Crystal or Kyronite Crystal. Put the crystal into a Stonecutter and cut it into the base block (Aethium, Erodium, Ionite, Kyronite). From that base block you can cut Aethium Cobble, Aethium Bricks and Aethium Tiles — and the same pattern applies to Erodium, Ionite and Kyronite.

Cutting Slabs, Stairs and Walls

Once you have a block variant, feed it back into the Stonecutter to get its shapes. Aethium Cobble yields Aethium Cobble Slab, Aethium Cobble Stairs and Aethium Cobble Wall. Aethium Bricks yields Aethium Brick Slab, Aethium Brick Stairs and Aethium Brick Wall. Aethium Tiles yields Aethium Tile Slab and Aethium Tile Stairs. The base block itself gives Aethium Slab, Aethium Stairs and Aethium Wall. Repeat the identical chain for Erodium, Ionite and Kyronite.

Structure Frames

Each tier also has a Structure Frame — Aethium Structure Frame, Erodium Structure Frame, Ionite Structure Frame — used as the structural shell for machines. Cut or craft these from the same tier's materials before you start building multiblock hardware.
