Reduce Lag and Improve Performance on Low-End Hardware

Disable Heavy Effects

Enter the shader settings menu and look for shadow quality, bloom quality, or ambient occlusion options. Lower these settings incrementally—EnS HAder is already lightweight, but reducing shadow resolution or bloom radius can help older systems.

Adjust Render Distance

While not a shader setting, lowering your render distance in video settings works alongside the shader to improve frame rate. Start at 8–12 chunks and increase only if performance allows.

Disable Optional Features

Check for toggles for colored lighting, volumetric effects, or advanced reflections. Turning these off individually helps you identify which features impact your specific hardware most.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 debug screen to watch FPS while making changes. Small adjustments often yield noticeable improvements without sacrificing the shader's signature soft, pastel aesthetic.

Test in Different Biomes

Performance may vary in dense forests or near water. Test your settings in multiple environments to find stable, playable frame rates across all conditions.
