Enhance Shadows Without Breaking Vanilla Aesthetics

Locate Shadow Settings

Open shader options and find shadow distance, shadow quality, or shadow softness controls. EnS HAder preserves the vanilla block style, so shadows should enhance rather than distort block shapes.

Increase Shadow Distance Gradually

Raise the shadow render distance to cast shadows further from the player. This creates more immersive lighting in open areas and forests without making the world feel unrealistic.

Adjust Shadow Softness

If shadows appear too harsh or pixelated, increase softness or blur settings. The pastel color scheme pairs well with gentle, diffused shadows rather than sharp edges.

Balance with Bloom

Shadows and bloom work together—strong bloom can wash out subtle shadows. If shadows disappear, reduce bloom slightly or increase shadow contrast in the settings.

Verify in Multiple Lighting

Test shadows at different times of day and in caves. Shadows should be visible without dominating the soft, warm aesthetic that defines EnS HAder.
