Turning Soul Dust into Soul Crystals

Soul Crystal is a mid-tier material in the mod, and Soul Dust is the raw form you will collect most often. Converting one into the other is the backbone of the mod's crafting economy.

Collecting Soul Dust

Soul Dust drops from the mod's soul-themed sources and is also a byproduct of several recipes. Bank it aggressively — you will need stacks of it for rings, eyes, and scrolls. Keep a separate chest for Soul Dust so it does not get mixed into your general junk storage.

Processing into Crystals

Soul Crystal is produced from Soul Dust through the mod's processing recipes. Load your Soul Dust into the appropriate processing step and pull out Soul Crystals. Because the mod registers both smelting and blasting recipe types, check both furnace and blast furnace outputs when you are unsure which step applies — the mod uses both for different conversions. Once you have Soul Crystals, they feed into higher-tier items like the Dormant Eye, Inscrutable Eye, and the ring and scroll branches. Do not dump Soul Crystals into a chest with raw Dust; label them separately so you can see at a glance whether you need to process more Dust or whether you are ready to craft the next tier.
