How to Use the Small Machines: Furnaces, Breaker, Cutter and More

Processing machines

Small Electrical Furnace smelts using electrical power rather than fuel. Small Laboratory Furnace is the variant for lab-style setups. Small Mineral Melting Furnace melts mineral inputs. Small Waste Incinerator destroys unwanted items. Small Water Freezer freezes water into ice. Place each machine where you want it in the line and feed it the matching input.

Small Block Breaker breaks the block in front of it. Point it at the block you want removed and it does the work without a player present. Small Tree Cutter does the same job on trees, cutting wood in its working area.

Support machines

Small Solar Panel generates power from sunlight. Place it with a clear view of the sky and run its output to the machines that need power, such as the Small Electrical Furnace. Small Milking Machine handles milking from nearby animals. Small Fluid Collection Funnel gathers fluid at its intake point and feeds it into a pipe run.

Moving items between machines

Factory Hopper moves items from one container or machine to the next. Factory Dropper ejects items out of its face. Factory Block Placer places blocks from its inventory into the world. Chain these together: a Factory Hopper pulls output from a Small Electrical Furnace, a Factory Dropper feeds items into the next machine's input, and a Factory Block Placer puts finished blocks down where you want them.
