Crafting with Energetic Wool Blocks

What You Can Make

The only recipe type present is shaped crafting, so Energetic Wool is used in shaped recipes. Place Energetic Wool blocks in a crafting grid in the pattern the recipe calls for. The result depends on the arrangement, not on which color you use, so you can substitute any of the sixteen colors — Energetic White Wool through Energetic Black Wool — wherever a recipe asks for Energetic Wool.

Planning a Colored Build

Because each color is a separate block, decide the palette before you craft. Gather the exact colors you need: Energetic White Wool, Energetic Light Gray Wool, Energetic Gray Wool, Energetic Black Wool, Energetic Brown Wool, Energetic Red Wool, Energetic Orange Wool, Energetic Yellow Wool, Energetic Lime Wool, Energetic Green Wool, Energetic Cyan Wool, Energetic Light Blue Wool, Energetic Blue Wool, Energetic Purple Wool, Energetic Magenta Wool, and Energetic Pink Wool. Shear sheep until you have a full stack of each color in your plan.

Keeping Colors Separate

Do not mix colors in one chest if you are crafting shaped recipes, because pulling the wrong color wastes a slot in the grid. Label chests by color, or use separate chests for warm colors and cool colors. When a recipe needs more than one Energetic Wool block, count the blocks first and pull exactly that many so you do not over-craft. If you run low on a color, shear the matching sheep again rather than substituting a different color, since the recipe output is tied to the pattern, not the color.
