Crafting the Ender Key

The Ender Key is the base item for the entire Ender Key Chest system. It is produced through a crafting_shaped recipe. Gather the ingredients shown in your recipe book for the Ender Key, place them in the shaped pattern, and collect the finished key from the crafting output slot.

Once you hold an Ender Key, you can use it to lock and unlock an Ender Key Chest. Keep the key in your inventory whenever you plan to open a chest you have locked.

Locking and Unlocking an Ender Key Chest

Place an Ender Key Chest where you want your storage. With an Ender Key in hand, interact with the chest to lock it. A locked chest will not open for players who do not have the matching key.

To open a locked Ender Key Chest, hold the Ender Key and interact with the chest again. The chest opens only for the holder of the correct key.

If you want a lock that is tied to a single owner rather than a shared key, use the Private Ender Key and Private Ender Lock instead. The Ender Key and Ender Lock are the shared-access versions of the same system.
