How to Upgrade Your Gear with Enderite Upgrade and Smithing

Getting the Upgrade Item

Enderite Upgrade is the key item for smithing transformations. Craft it from Enderite Ingot and the other ingredients required by its recipe, then keep a stack on hand. Every smithing_transform recipe in the mod consumes one Enderite Upgrade alongside the base item you are upgrading.

Using a Smithing Table

Place a smithing table and open it. Put your base item in the first slot, an Enderite Upgrade in the second slot, and the required Enderite Ingot in the third slot. The output slot will show the upgraded piece. Take it out to complete the transformation.

What You Can Upgrade

Smithing transformations cover the full Enderite gear set: Enderite Sword, Enderite Pickaxe, Enderite Axe, Enderite Shovel, Enderite Hoe, Enderite Spear, Enderite Bow, Enderite Crossbow, Enderite Shield, Enderite Shears, Enderite Helmet, Enderite Chestplate, Enderite Leggings, Enderite Boots, Enderite Elytra, Enderite Elytra Chestplate, Enderite Horse Armor, and Enderite Nautilus Armor. Each one uses the same smithing table flow.

Practical Order

Start with the tool you use most, then your chestplate and leggings, then the rest. Keep spare Enderite Upgrades in a chest next to your smithing table so you never have to stop mid-upgrade to craft more.
