How to Get Started with Ender IO

First Steps

Ender IO begins with the Conduit Binder. Craft it by combining Gravel, Clay, and Sand in a crafting grid. This item is the foundation for nearly every conduit and machine you will build.

Once you have Conduit Binder, you can craft basic Item Conduits and Energy Conduits. These let you move items and power between blocks without visible wires cluttering your base.

Building Your First Machine

Use Conduit Binder plus Iron Ingots and Redstone to make the components needed for a SAG Mill or Alloy Smelter. Place the machine block down, then right-click it to open its interface.

Connect an Energy Conduit to the machine to supply power. Connect an Item Conduit to feed inputs and pull outputs. Use a Conduit Probe to inspect connections and a Yeta Wrench to rotate or disconnect conduits without breaking them.

Powering Your Setup

The simplest early generator is the Stirling Generator, which burns solid fuel. Feed it coal or wood through an Item Conduit, and route the energy out through an Energy Conduit to your machines.

Once power flows, your SAG Mill can grind ores into dusts for higher yields, and your Alloy Smelter can combine metals into alloys. From there, expand with more conduits and machines as your resource needs grow.
