What a Broken Spawner Is

A Broken Spawner is a spawner block that no longer produces mobs. You can obtain one by mining a vanilla mob spawner with a Silk Touch pickaxe. Placed down, it stays inert until you supply it with the right items.

Repairing the Spawner

To reactivate a Broken Spawner, you need a Soul Vial containing a captured mob. Craft a Soul Vial from Conduit Binder and Glass, then right-click a mob with the empty vial to capture its soul.

Place the Broken Spawner, then right-click it with the filled Soul Vial. The spawner becomes active and begins spawning that mob type again, provided the area meets the usual spawning conditions: darkness, valid floor blocks, and enough space.

Controlling the Spawner

Once active, the spawner consumes power. Connect an Energy Conduit to keep it running. Without power, it stops spawning.

You can also use a Soul Binder to combine a Broken Spawner with a mob soul directly, producing a working spawner as an item you can pick up and move. This is useful for relocating spawners or building mob farms in a controlled location.

Use a Yeta Wrench to adjust conduit connections around the spawner so items and energy route correctly.
