Use Enchanted Books on Multiplayer Servers

Server Compatibility

The Enchanted Book Enabler Data Pack works on multiplayer servers without requiring players to install additional mods like OptiFine or CIT Resewn. Only the data pack needs to be on the server; players provide their own compatible resource pack.

Setup for Server Administrators

1. Add the data pack to your server: Place it in the datapacks folder of your world directory.

2. Restart or reload: Use /reload or restart the server to activate the data pack.

3. Inform players: Tell your community which compatible resource packs work with the server.

For Players Joining the Server

1. Install a compatible resource pack locally: Download and enable one of the supported packs in your resource pack menu.

2. Join the server: Connect as normal. The server's data pack and your resource pack work together automatically.

3. View custom textures: Enchanted books will display custom artwork for all players simultaneously.

Advantages

Every player sees the same enchanted book textures, making it easier to trade, organize shared storage, and communicate about items. No mod installation required on the server side.
