Troubleshoot Green Tint Not Appearing at Night

Confirm Shader is Active

Verify that Emerald Night Glow is selected in Video Settings > Shaders. The shader name should appear in your active list, not grayed out or marked as disabled. If it's not listed, reinstall or reload your shader folder.

Check Game Time

The green tint only applies during nighttime in-game. If you're testing during day, the effect won't be visible—this is intentional.

Adjust Brightness Settings

If night is very dark but you see no green tint, your brightness slider may be set too low. Open shader options and increase the night vision intensity. Even a subtle effect should produce a noticeable green hue in dark areas.

Verify Compatibility

Conflicting resource packs or other mods can interfere with shader rendering. Try disabling other visual modifications temporarily to isolate the issue. Ensure your graphics driver is up to date, as outdated drivers sometimes cause shader effects to fail silently.
