How to Use Ember Rekindled Modifiers

What Modifiers Are

In Embers Rekindled, Modifiers are special upgrades you can apply to tools and machines to change how they work. You apply them at the Dawnstone Anvil by combining a tool with a Modifier item. Each tool can hold a limited number of modifiers, so choose carefully.

Common Modifiers

• Blasting Modifier: Adds area-of-effect mining to pickaxes. Craft it with Ember Shards and Gunpowder at the Dawnstone Anvil.
• Silk Touch Modifier: Makes tools drop blocks in their original form. Craft with Ember Shards and Diamond.
• Fortune Modifier: Increases drop rates from ores. Craft with Ember Shards and Emerald.
• Efficiency Modifier: Speeds up mining. Craft with Ember Shards and Redstone.

Applying Modifiers

Place your tool in the left slot of the Dawnstone Anvil and the Modifier in the right slot. The Anvil will show the result. Take the modified tool out. You can remove modifiers later by using the Modifier Remover, crafted with Ember Shards and Iron Ingots.

Machine Modifiers

Some machines, like the Ember Bore and Ember Funnel, also accept modifiers. For example, the Speed Modifier increases the Bore's drilling speed. Apply it the same way — at the Dawnstone Anvil with the machine and modifier in the slots. Note that machine modifiers are consumed on use, so you will need to craft new ones for each machine.
