Enable or Disable Sky Lighting Effects
Access Shader Options
Press Shift + O while in-game to open Ember Shaders configuration.
Find Sky Lighting Settings
Look for options labeled "Sky Lighting," "Ambient Light," or "Daylight Cycle." Ember Shaders applies dynamic lighting that changes throughout the day and night.
Adjust Sky Lighting Intensity
You'll typically find controls for:
- Day brightness — how bright the sky illuminates blocks during daytime
- Night brightness — ambient light level during night (affects visibility without torches)
- Sky color saturation — intensity of sky color influence on the world
Toggle Effects On or Off
Some shader packs allow you to disable sky lighting entirely if you prefer vanilla-style lighting. Check for an enable/disable toggle.
Test Different Times
Spend time playing at different times of day—sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight—to see how adjustments affect your experience. Night lighting is particularly noticeable; some players prefer darker nights for challenge, others want more visibility.
Save Your Configuration
Once you're happy with the lighting atmosphere, your settings save automatically for future sessions.
