Adjust Water Reflection Quality and Clarity
Access Shader Settings
Open the Shader Options menu by pressing Shift + O while in-game (or navigate through your video settings). Look for the Ember Shaders configuration panel.
Fine-Tune Water Reflections
Locate the water-related settings, typically labeled as "Water Reflections" or "Water Quality." You'll find sliders controlling:
- Reflection strength — increase for more visible reflections of the sky and surroundings
- Reflection distance — adjust how far reflected details render across water surfaces
- Surface clarity — higher values make water appear cleaner and more transparent
Apply and Test
After adjusting, apply the changes and visit a large body of water—ocean, lake, or river. Look at how the sky, clouds, and nearby blocks reflect on the surface. If reflections feel too intense or washed out, return to settings and dial in the balance that suits your preference.
Performance Note
If your frame rate drops noticeably, reduce reflection distance or strength slightly. Ember Shaders is optimized for low-end hardware, but water reflections are among the more demanding features.
