Optimize Bloom Effects for Visual Clarity
Understand Bloom in This Shader
Bloom creates a soft glow around bright light sources like fire, lava, and glowstone. In Eerie Craft Shaders, this effect is intentionally foggy and atmospheric. Too much bloom can wash out details; too little loses the haunting aesthetic.
Adjust Bloom Settings
Open shader options and locate the bloom or glow intensity slider. If bright areas feel washed out or hard to see through, lower the bloom value slightly. If the world feels too dark and light sources don't feel impactful, increase it. Make small adjustments—even small changes affect the overall mood.
Balance Bloom with Shadow Depth
Bloom works alongside the shader's dark shadows. Strong bloom around torches will make surrounding shadows feel deeper and more threatening. Weak bloom flattens the visual contrast. Experiment to find the balance that feels right for your horror experience.
Test in Different Lighting Conditions
Evaluate bloom changes in caves, at night, and near lava. Each environment will show how bloom interacts with the shader's semi-realistic lighting model.
