How to Cook Bugs in the Fryer
What the Fryer Does
The Fryer is the block that turns raw bug items into their cooked counterparts. Every raw bug in the mod has a cooked version, so the Fryer is your main food-production tool once you have bugs on hand.
Raw to Cooked Pairs
Each raw item maps to one cooked item. Feed the Fryer any of these and collect the result:
- Aphid becomes Cooked Aphid
- Camel Spider becomes Cooked Camel Spider
- Carpenter Ant becomes Cooked Carpenter Ant
- Centipede becomes Cooked Centipede
- Cicada becomes Cooked Cicada
- Cricket becomes Cooked Cricket
- Crimson Tiger Beetle becomes Cooked Crimson Tiger Beetle
- Dung Beetle becomes Cooked Dung Beetle
- Fire Ant becomes Cooked Fire Ant
- Grasshopper becomes Cooked Grasshopper
- Jumil Bug becomes Cooked Jumil Bug
- Locust becomes Cooked Locust
- Scarab becomes Cooked Scarab
- Scorpion becomes Cooked Scorpion
- Slugs becomes Cooked Slugs
- Sow Bug becomes Cooked Sow Bug
- Termite becomes Cooked Termite
- Wood Termite becomes Cooked Wood Termite
- Witchetty Grub becomes Cooked Witchetty Grub
Keep Vegetable Oil Stocked
Vegetable Oil is used in bug cooking. Produce or gather it and keep it near the Fryer so you can process bugs in batches without stopping. Load raw bugs, add Vegetable Oil where the recipe requires it, and pull out the cooked results.
