How to Craft and Use Bows

Available Bows

This mod adds Amethyst Bow, Copper Bow, Emerald Bow, Obsidian Bow, and Ruby Bow. Each is crafted with the crafting_shaped recipe type using that tier's material plus string. The Bow Smithing Template is used in smithing_transform recipes to upgrade bows between tiers.

Crafting a Bow

For an Emerald Bow, gather Emerald and string, then arrange them in the bow pattern at a crafting table. For a Ruby Bow, use Ruby and string. For an Amethyst Bow, use Amethyst and string. For a Copper Bow, use copper ingots and string. For an Obsidian Bow, use Obsidian and string. Each bow fires arrows like a vanilla bow but with different durability and damage based on tier.

Upgrading with the Bow Smithing Template

Use the Bow Smithing Template in a smithing_transform recipe to upgrade a bow to a higher tier. Place the template, the base bow, and the upgrade material in the smithing table. This lets you carry a low-tier bow early and improve it as you gather better materials.

Combat Use

Draw the bow by holding right-click, then release to fire. Higher-tier bows deal more damage and last longer before breaking. Repair with the matching material on an anvil.
