Crafting the Copper Buck and Madder Buck

Why These Bucks Matter

The Copper Buck and Madder Buck are two crafted items in the Earthbounds Mod. They feed into later recipes, including the Flingshot, so making them early saves backtracking.

Copper Buck

Open a crafting table and place the required ingredients in the shaped pattern for the Copper Buck. The recipe is a crafting_shaped type, meaning the arrangement of items in the grid matters — do not scatter them randomly. Confirm the output slot shows Copper Buck before you take it.

Madder Buck

The Madder Buck is a separate shaped recipe. It uses its own ingredient layout, so do not assume it mirrors the Copper Buck. Build it the same way: arrange the items in the exact grid positions the recipe expects, then pull the result from the output slot.

Stocking Up

Both bucks are consumed or combined in downstream crafting, so craft more than one if you plan to make multiple Flingshots. Keep a stack of Primordial Redstone nearby since it is the mod's foundational material and appears across recipes.

Troubleshooting

If nothing appears in the output slot, your grid layout is wrong — shaped recipes are position-sensitive. Rearrange the ingredients and check again. Use the exact names when searching your inventory: Copper Buck, Madder Buck, Primordial Redstone.
