How to Use Mud, Bucket of Mud, and Muddy Mobs

Getting Mud

Mud is a placeable block. You can also collect it as a Bucket of Mud, which lets you carry Mud in bucket form and place it elsewhere. Use Mud to build muddy terrain, paths, or pens for muddy mobs.

Spawning Muddy Mobs

Several spawn eggs produce mobs tied to mud: Muddy Pig Spawn Egg and Muddy Foot Rabbit Spawn Egg. Use these spawn eggs on the ground where you want the mob to appear. Build a mud-themed area with Mud blocks and place the mobs inside to keep the theme consistent.

Building a Mud Pen

1. Place a border of solid blocks to define the pen.

2. Fill the floor with Mud blocks.

3. Add a water source or Bucket of Mud nearby if you want to expand the muddy area.

4. Use Muddy Pig Spawn Egg and Muddy Foot Rabbit Spawn Egg inside the pen.

Practical Tips

• Bucket of Mud is the portable form of Mud, so carry one when exploring.
• Mud blocks can be placed and removed like normal blocks.
• Keep muddy mobs in a fenced area so they do not wander into other builds.
• Combine Mud with Flower Pot, Buttercup, and Pink Daisy for a swamp-style garden.
