How to Get Mud and Use a Bucket of Mud

Bucket of Mud is a fluid container item, and it pairs with the mud-themed mobs in the mod.

Obtaining a Bucket of Mud

A Bucket of Mud is filled from a mud source in the world. Carry an empty bucket to the mud and use it to scoop the mud up. Once filled, the bucket holds the mud until you place it back down.

Placing mud and using it

Use the Bucket of Mud on a solid block to pour the mud out. The mud spreads as a fluid block, and the bucket returns to empty so you can refill it. Pour mud to create muddy terrain for decoration or to build a wallow for mud-loving mobs.

Mud-themed spawn eggs such as Muddy Pig Spawn Egg and Muddy Foot Rabbit Spawn Egg fit naturally in an area you have covered with mud. Place the mud first, then use the spawn egg on a solid block nearby so the mob has somewhere to stand. Keep a spare empty bucket with you so you can move mud between locations without making multiple trips.
