How to Craft the Melon Lantern in Earth2Java

Gather the Ingredients

The Melon Lantern is made with a crafting_shaped recipe. You need a Melon block and a Torch. Both are easy to obtain early: harvest a Melon from a jungle or grow one from Melon Seeds, and craft a Torch from Coal or Charcoal plus a Stick.

Craft the Melon Lantern

Open a Crafting Table. Place the Melon in the center slot and the Torch directly below it. This shaped arrangement produces one Melon Lantern. The recipe is fixed — shifting the Torch to another slot will not work.

Once crafted, place the Melon Lantern like any normal light source. It emits light and can be used indoors or outdoors. If you want more, repeat the same center-and-below pattern; each craft consumes one Melon and one Torch.

Because the recipe is shaped, keep the vertical layout exact: Melon on top, Torch underneath. Do not substitute a Jack o'Lantern or Glowstone — only the Melon and Torch combination is valid for this recipe.
