Crafting the Block of Charcoal

A Block of Charcoal is a placeable storage block made from the mod's charcoal material. Craft it by combining charcoal in a crafting recipe to compress it into block form. This lets you store large amounts of charcoal in a fraction of the inventory space, and the block can be placed in the world as a solid block.

Breaking It Back Down

The Block of Charcoal is reversible. Break or craft the block back into its component charcoal when you need the material for Dwarf Charcoal, Dwarf Coal, or torch recipes. Keep a few blocks in a chest near your crafting area so you can convert them back on demand instead of carrying loose charcoal everywhere.

Fitting It Into the Progression

The Block of Charcoal sits at the storage end of the charcoal chain: charcoal goes in, and you can pull it back out to feed the Dwarf Charcoal and Dwarf Coal recipes. If you are producing charcoal in bulk from a furnace setup, compress the surplus into Blocks of Charcoal for tidy storage, then break them down whenever you need to craft torches or fuel. This keeps your base organized without interrupting the crafting flow.
