How to Craft Stone Rods and Stone Torches

Stone Rod

The Stone Rod is the mod's stone-based replacement for the stick. Craft Stone Rods from stone material in a crafting recipe, then use them wherever a stick would normally go in the mod's torch recipes. Stone Rods are the key ingredient that separates the stone variants from the standard ones.

Stone Torch

The Stone Torch is the basic stone-fueled light source. Combine a Stone Rod with coal in a crafting recipe to produce Stone Torches. This is the entry point if you want stone-based lighting without going through the Dwarf Coal chain first.

Choosing Between Torch Types

You now have three torch options: Dwarf Torch, Stone Dwarf Torch, and Stone Torch. Use the Stone Torch when you have plenty of coal and stone but limited wood. Use the Dwarf Torch and Stone Dwarf Torch when you have processed Dwarf Coal and want the denser fuel line. All three are placeable blocks and serve the same lighting purpose, so pick based on which materials you have on hand. Craft Stone Rods in bulk — they feed both the Stone Torch and the Stone Dwarf Torch recipes.
