How to Craft Sheet Metal Paneling, Siding and Treading

The Sheet Metal Family

Start from Sheet Metal and branch into the finish you need. Sheet Metal Paneling, Sheet Metal Siding, and Sheet Metal Walling are the three flat wall treatments. Sheet Metal Plating is the heavier plate look, with Sheet Metal Plating Slab and Sheet Metal Plating Stairs to match. Sheet Metal Treading is the diamond-plate floor style, with Sheet Metal Treading Slab and Sheet Metal Treading Stairs.

Use Paneling for interior walls, Siding for exterior faces, and Walling where you want a corrugated profile. Treading belongs on floors, catwalks and stair treads.

The Rusty Variants

Every one of those has a rusted counterpart: Rusty Sheet Metal, Rusty Sheet Metal Paneling, Rusty Sheet Metal Siding, Rusty Sheet Metal Walling, Rusty Sheet Metal Plating, Rusty Sheet Metal Plating Slab, Rusty Sheet Metal Plating Stairs, Rusty Sheet Metal Treading, Rusty Sheet Metal Treading Slab, and Rusty Sheet Metal Treading Stairs.

Build the clean version first, then swap individual blocks for the Rusty version to suggest age and water damage. A wall of Sheet Metal Siding with a few Rusty Sheet Metal Siding blocks near the floor reads as a weathered factory. Do the same on floors: lay Sheet Metal Treading, then scatter Rusty Sheet Metal Treading where traffic would be heaviest.
