How to Craft Cinder Blocks, Padded Blocks and Cast Iron Bricks

Cinder and Cast Iron Masonry

Cinder Block is the base masonry block. Polished Cinder Block is the smoothed variant for finished walls. Cinder Bricks give a brick pattern, with Cinder Brick Slab and Cinder Brick Stairs to complete the set.

Cast iron follows the same pattern. Cast Iron Bricks are the brick-textured block, with Cast Iron Brick Slab and Cast Iron Brick Stairs as the matching shapes. Cast Iron Block and Engraved Cast Iron Block are the solid and decorated versions. Cast Iron Billet and Industrial Iron Billet are the intermediate metal pieces you work from when producing the iron-based blocks.

Padded Blocks

Padded Block is the full-size padded surface, with Padded Door and Padded Trapdoor to match. Mini Padded Block is the smaller-tiled version, with Mini Padded Slab and Mini Padded Stairs.

Use Padded Block for cell walls, padded rooms, or the inside of a transport crate. Mini Padded Block works better for smaller rooms and for wrapping corners where full-size padding would look too coarse. Pair Cinder Bricks with Cast Iron Bricks on the same facade: Cinder for the bulk of the wall, Cast Iron Bricks for a banded base or lintel, and Cast Iron Pillar at the corners to tie the two together.
