Troubleshoot Water Textures Not Appearing Correctly
Common Issues and Fixes
Water Looks Dull or Vanilla
- Verify the resource pack is enabled in your resource pack list
- Check that it appears above any conflicting packs in the load order
- Restart Minecraft after enabling the pack
Colors Don't Match Biomes
- Ensure Polytone is installed if you want biome-specific tinting
- Confirm Polytone loads after the Dungeons Water pack
- Reload your world after adjusting mod order
Texture Glitches or Flickering
- Clear your shader cache if using shaders
- Try disabling other resource packs temporarily to isolate conflicts
- Ensure your graphics driver is up to date
Performance Issues
- The pack is lightweight, but disable Polytone if experiencing lag
- Reduce render distance if water rendering causes frame drops
Verification
Load a world and check a water surface in sunlight. You should see bright, saturated, stylized water with clear visibility. If problems persist, reinstall the resource pack cleanly.
