Choosing Between the Five Armor Trims
What Each Trim Is For
The mod gives you five trims to pick from: Bone Armor Trim, Frigid Armor Trim, Tower Armor Trim, Twisted Armor Trim, and Wailing Armor Trim. They are cosmetic choices applied at a smithing table, so pick based on the look you want for your build.
Matching Trim to Base
- Bone Armor Trim suits desert bases, undead farms, and bone-block builds.
- Frigid Armor Trim suits ice spikes, snowy villages, and the Frosted Cowl.
- Tower Armor Trim suits castles, watchtowers, and stone fortresses.
- Twisted Armor Trim suits nether bases and warped forest builds.
- Wailing Armor Trim suits soul sand valleys and haunted themes.
Applying and Swapping
Apply a trim at a smithing table with the trim template and your armor piece. To change your look, apply a different trim to a fresh copy of the armor — trims do not stack on the same piece. Keep one untrimmed spare of each armor slot so you can re-theme without losing your main set.
Dyeing for Extra Control
The crafting_dye recipe lets you recolor the relevant mod item. Use it when a trim's default tone clashes with your base. Combine the item with dye in the crafting grid.
Storage Tip
Label chests by trim type. With five trims and four armor slots, an unlabeled chest turns into a guessing game fast.
