How to Craft and Use the Anchor and Encrusted Anchor

The Anchor is a heavy melee weapon. To build one, gather iron and combine it at a crafting table into the Anchor. Once you have it, hold it in your main hand and swing at mobs — it hits hard but swings slowly, so time your attacks between enemy cooldowns.

Upgrading to the Encrusted Anchor

Combine your Anchor with additional materials at a crafting table to produce the Encrusted Anchor. This upgraded version keeps the heavy hit but adds more damage per swing. Use it against tanky mobs where a single big hit matters more than fast chip damage.

Practical Use

• Pair the Anchor with Boots of Swiftness or Dark Boots to offset the slow swing with better positioning.
• Against groups, let mobs bunch up, then land one swing to hit several at once.
• If you also carry a Dagger or Cutlass, swap to the fast weapon for cleanup after the Anchor's heavy hit.
• The Encrusted Anchor is worth the extra materials once you are fighting armored or high-health enemies regularly.

Keep a spare Anchor in a chest near your base in case you die far from spawn — the materials to remake it are common enough that losing one is not a disaster.
