Use Pebble Variants to Add Detail to Dirt Blocks
What Pebble Variants Are
Standard dirt blocks in this pack include small grey pebbles scattered across their surface in different orientations. These aren't separate blocks—they're texture variations of the regular dirt block that appear randomly as you place or generate terrain.
How to Access Them
Pebble variants appear automatically when you:
- Generate new terrain with dirt blocks
- Place dirt blocks in your world
- Mine and replace existing dirt
Each dirt block randomly selects from available pebble orientations, so a flat dirt surface will show natural variation without extra effort.
Combining with Other Blocks
Pebble variants work especially well when mixed with:
- Grass blocks (which also have pebbles)
- Coarse dirt (which has a rocky texture)
- Path blocks (which feature rough, rocky styling)
This creates a cohesive, naturally weathered ground appearance. The pebbles are subtle enough not to overwhelm the landscape while adding enough detail to prevent the flat, repetitive look of vanilla dirt.
