How to Use the Woodcutting Recipe Type for Beams and Panels

Beams and Panels Explained

Druidcraft adds decorative building blocks called Beams and Panels for each wood type. You can craft Acacia Beam, Birch Beam, Dark Oak Beam, Jungle Beam, Darkwood Beam, and Elder Beam, along with matching Acacia Panels, Birch Panels, Dark Oak Panels, Jungle Panels, Darkwood Panels, and Elder Panels.

These are produced through the druidcraft:woodcutting recipe type. This functions like a sawmill-style conversion: feed in logs, wood, or planks of the correct species and receive the corresponding beam or panel output. Use the appropriate log for each species — Darkwood Log for Darkwood, Elder Log for Elder, and vanilla logs for Acacia, Birch, Dark Oak, and Jungle.

Building with Beams and Panels

Beams work as vertical or horizontal structural accents — think exposed framing, pillars, and ceiling joists. Panels are thinner flat blocks suited to walls, floors, and ceilings where you want a different texture than planks.

Combine Darkwood Planks with Darkwood Beam and Darkwood Panels in one build for depth. Do the same with Elder Planks, Elder Beam, and Elder Panels. Use Dry Mud Bricks, Dry Mud Brick Slab, Dry Mud Brick Stairs, and Dry Mud Brick Wall as a contrasting masonry palette alongside the wood beams.
