How to Craft Bone and Chitin Armor and Weapons

Bone Gear

Craft the full Bone set: Bone Helmet, Bone Chestplate, Bone Leggings, Bone Boots, plus Bone Sword, Bone Pickaxe, Bone Axe, Bone Shovel, Bone Hoe, Bone Sickle, and Bone Shield. These provide early-game protection and tool coverage before you reach iron-tier equipment. The Bone Sickle doubles as a harvesting tool for Hemp, Lavender, and Elderflower.

Chitin Gear

Chitin is a separate material used for a parallel armor and shield line: Chitin Helmet, Chitin Chestplate, Chitin Leggings, Chitin Boots, and Chitin Shield. Collect Chitin from mod mobs — Beetle Spawn Egg and Dreadfish Spawn Egg let you spawn the creatures that drop it.

Sickle Tiers

Beyond Bone Sickle, craft higher-tier sickles: Iron Sickle, Gold Sickle, and Diamond Sickle. Each tier increases harvest speed and durability when cutting Hemp, Lavender, Elderflower, and Elderberries. Carry a sickle whenever you farm or forage.

Pair armor with a Bone Shield or Chitin Shield for blocking. Use Blazing Steel for advanced crafting once you have the required materials. Keep a Ceramic Lantern in your offhand slot for light during night fights.
