Storing and Organizing Flares by Color

Sort by Color, Not by Type

Every flare is a distinct item, so a mixed chest becomes hard to search once you have several colors. The sixteen colors are Black Flare, Blue Flare, Brown Flare, Cyan Flare, Gray Flare, Green Flare, Light Blue Flare, Light Gray Flare, Lime Flare, Magenta Flare, Orange Flare, Pink Flare, Purple Flare, Red Flare, White Flare, and Yellow Flare.

Give each color its own slot or its own labeled chest. If you use a single chest, keep the order consistent — for example alphabetical, or grouped by how often you use each color — so you always know where to look.

Restocking from Storage

Because every flare uses a shapeless recipe, you can craft replacements directly from the ingredients stored beside your flare chest. Keep the raw ingredients for each color in the same area as the finished flares.

When a color runs out, craft only that color rather than a full set. This keeps your stock balanced and avoids overflowing on colors you rarely use. Before a long trip, pull one stack of each color you plan to carry and leave the rest in storage.
