How to Get Short and Tall Copper Doors and Oxidize Them

Crafting Copper Doors

Copper doors come in Short and Tall variants. Craft a Short Copper Door from copper ingots in a shaped recipe, then upgrade it to a Tall Copper Door by combining the short door with additional copper. The same short-to-tall upgrade applies across all copper oxidation stages.

Oxidation Stages

Copper doors progress through four visual stages: Copper, Exposed Copper, Weathered Copper, and Oxidized Copper. Each stage exists as both a Short and a Tall door. Let an unwaxed copper door sit in the world and it will advance through the stages over time, exactly like copper blocks.

Waxing to Lock the Look

Apply honeycomb to any copper door to wax it. Waxed variants — Short Waxed Copper Door, Tall Waxed Copper Door, Short Waxed Exposed Copper Door, Tall Waxed Exposed Copper Door, Short Waxed Weathered Copper Door, Tall Waxed Weathered Copper Door, Short Waxed Oxidized Copper Door, and Tall Waxed Oxidized Copper Door — stop oxidizing permanently.

Redstone and Iron Doors

Short Iron Door and Tall Iron Door are also available. Iron doors do not respond to right-click and need a redstone signal from a button, lever, or pressure plate to open.
