How to Craft Tall Nether Doors: Crimson and Warped

Gathering Materials

Crimson and Warped doors use nether wood. Harvest crimson stems and warped stems from the Nether, then convert them into planks at a crafting table. You need planks plus a Short door of the same wood to build the Tall version.

Short to Tall Upgrade

Craft a Short Crimson Door or Short Warped Door first. Place the short door in a crafting grid surrounded by the matching planks to produce Tall Crimson Door or Tall Warped Door. The recipe is shaped, so the short door sits in the middle and planks fill the surrounding slots.

Sawmill Alternative

A woodworks sawmill can also process nether wood into door outputs. Feed crimson or warped logs or planks into the sawmill to obtain door components, then assemble them. This saves manual grid work when producing several doors at once.

Placement Notes

Tall Crimson Door and Tall Warped Door need two blocks of vertical space. They open and close with right-click and accept redstone from the lower half. Use them in nether-themed builds alongside crimson and warped planks, stems, and hyphae for a consistent palette. Short variants fit one-block openings where a full two-block door would not align with your frame.
