Opening Light Vaults, Dark Vaults, and Hunter's Vaults

Matching Keys to Vaults

There are three vault blocks: Light Vault, Dark Vault, and Hunter's Vault. Each opens with its matching key: Light Key, Dark Key, and Hunter Key. Keys are consumed when you unlock the vault, so bring one key per vault.

Unlocking Steps

1. Locate the vault block you want to open.

2. Hold the correct key — Light Key for Light Vault, Dark Key for Dark Vault, Hunter Key for Hunter's Vault.

3. Right-click the vault with the key.

4. Collect the contents from the opened vault.

Hunter's Vault is tied to the Hunter mob family. Hunter Ambusher Spawn Egg, Hunter Griffin Spawn Egg, Hunter Hound Spawn Egg, Hunter Knight Spawn Egg, Hunter Leader Spawn Egg, and Hunter Spearman Spawn Egg indicate the enemy types guarding or associated with hunter content. Clear nearby hunters before opening a Hunter's Vault so you are not interrupted mid-loot. Light Vault and Dark Vault pair naturally with the Light and Dark armor sets — open them when you are ready to upgrade. Keep spare keys in a chest near your vaults so you can open several in one trip.
