Choosing Between Grass and Full Grass Blocks in Dirt Deco

Two Grass Variants

The mod provides Grass Door, Grass Fence, Grass Fence Gate, Grass Slab, Grass Stairs, and Grass Trapdoor, plus a separate Full Grass set: Full Grass Block, Full Grass Door, Full Grass Fence, Full Grass Fence Gate, Full Grass Slab, Full Grass Stairs, and Full Grass Trapdoor. Both sets are crafted with shaped recipes from their respective base blocks.

What Each Is For

Grass pieces suit builds where you want the green surface to read as a thin layer — paths, low walls, and edging that sit on top of soil. Full Grass Block and its matching pieces give you a solid green block, useful when you want a wall or floor that is green all the way through rather than only on the top face. Use Full Grass Slab and Full Grass Stairs for garden terraces where the cut side should also be green.

Mixing the Sets

You can combine both in one build. Run a Grass Fence along a path, then switch to Full Grass Fence at a corner where the fence meets a Full Grass Block pillar. Use Grass Trapdoor as a hatch on a Grass Slab floor, and Full Grass Trapdoor as a shutter on a Full Grass Door. The two palettes are close enough to blend but distinct enough to define edges.

Crafting Order

Decide the base block first — Grass or Full Grass Block — then craft the door, fence, gate, slab, stairs, and trapdoor you need from it. Keep one stack of each base block in a chest near the build site so you can top up without a trip back.
