Planning Your Painting Crafting Chain

The Full Progression

The mod has four registry items: Custom Painting, End Painting, Nether Painting, and Overworld Painting. The crafting chain runs from the three themed paintings up to the Custom Painting. There are no other intermediate items, so the progression is short and direct.

Step-by-Step Order

1. Craft an Overworld Painting using its shaped recipe.

2. Craft a Nether Painting using its shaped recipe.

3. Craft an End Painting using its shaped recipe.

4. Combine the Overworld Painting, Nether Painting, and End Painting in a shaped recipe to produce the Custom Painting.

All four items are made with shaped crafting recipes, so every step requires the correct grid layout. Use the recipe book or a recipe viewer to confirm each pattern.

Scaling Up

If you want multiple Custom Paintings, multiply the whole chain. Each Custom Painting costs one Overworld Painting, one Nether Painting, and one End Painting. Craft the themed paintings in batches and store them, then run the combining recipe as many times as needed. This keeps you from switching between recipes constantly.

What to Keep on Hand

Keep a stock of each themed painting in a chest near your crafting table. Since the Custom Painting recipe consumes all three, having spares ready means you can craft Custom Paintings back to back without re-gathering ingredients.
